ABSTRACT

Introduction Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) primarily affects older individuals, with approximately half of all new RCC diagnoses being made in persons 65 years of age or older and an incidence of 56 per 100,000 persons. Epidemiological studies have described that up to two-thirds of 75-yearolds with renal cancer suffer from conditions such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, or diabetes. Gastrointestinal disorders are also frequent in these patients.
