ABSTRACT
The effect of any medication depends on the applied dose. In case of topical medications, the applied amount is often uncertain and variable. The importance of proper dosage of topical medications in dermatology was seldom discussed, but it was demonstrated that accurate dosage of topical agents (e.g., calcipotriol) helped to provide better effi cacy (1). Additionally, to make any conclusion regarding the effectiveness of a topical preparation in clinical trials, it is preferable to have the amount of a topical preparation known and well controlled.
