- Magnetorheological (MR) Suspension System for Passenger Vehicles
Vehicle vibration from various road conditions requires attenuation. Successful suppression of vibration improves the lifespan of vehicle components, ride comfort, and steering stability. This is normally accomplished by a vehicle’s suspension system, which generally consists of springs and shock absorbers (also called dampers). Various suspension methods have been developed and applied to control vehicle vibration. Vehicle suspension systems are classi„ed into three types-passive, active, and semi-active-based on the amount of external power required by the system .
