ABSTRACT
The physiographic-hydrologic characteristics of the GBM basin offer opportunities for certain novel technologies which can revolutionize the modernization of the development of water resources of the GBM basin and of India, leading to a revolutionizing of the management of the environment. The management approach has also to be modernized in this context. This is the central theme of the book, and the proposed revolution is discussed briefly.
