ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION Over the past 20 years there has been a progressive decrease in the proportion of mastectomies in favor of more conservative breast surgery. This has coincided with an increase in demand for either immediate or delayed breast reconstruction by those patients requiring mastectomy together with emergence of oncoplastic procedures.
