Figure 9a.2b Dermoscopy reveals a predominant parallel-furrow pattern. The center of this compound nevus has a bluish hue. This blue hue is due to the Tyndall effect.

3. The characteristic eccrine gland with its ductal openings, which are located in the center of the ridge, can be seen easily with dermoscopy. These eccrine openings appear as regularly spaced small white dots on the ridges.
