Lastly, hair care differs greatly between the sexes. Men and women do not maintain the same standard of hair careapparently because of psychological differences.
GENERAL ASPECT OF THE SKIN The general aspect of the skin of a man is different from that of a women. The texture is rougher and the stratum corneum thicker. There is a difference in the composition of the sebum. In males over 10, and females over 15 with no present or past acne, sebum excretion (primarily simulated by androgens) increases until the third or fourth decade, and then decreases, the rate of decrease being similar in both sexes (12).
