ABSTRACT
Human and institutional risks represent the last two of the five sources of identified risk. These risks are serious threats to most organizations and enterprises but are seldom given the attention they should receive. As such, these sources of risk may well represent the risks that most seriously threaten the long-term survival of today’s farm businesses. This is especially true where human and institutional risks are not as easily measured or managed when compared to production, marketing, or financial risks.
