ABSTRACT
In this chapter we will at first consider a general class of models for the analysis of grouped data. It is assumed that the (possibly experimental) conditions within groups are the same, whereas the conditions vary between groups. For most experimental conditions it is reasonable to talk about repetitions for the observations within groups.
