ABSTRACT

Race African-Caribbean men have been shown to have a higher incidence of MBC (3). In contrast to Caucasian men, AfricanCaribbean men with breast cancer tend to have an early onset and present with higher tumor grade, negative hormone receptor expression, and a more advanced stage at diagnosis. Part of this is thought to be due to reduced access to healthcare and sociocultural factors (3,6) but tumor biology may also be responsible for this variation.
