ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the modeling of business processes. The process view of the enterprise is one of the three enterprise system views, and it is the process view that shows how value is delivered to the customer by the enterprise. The purpose of process modeling is to produce an abstraction of the process that serves as a basis to understand the process, to describe the process to others, to analyze process performance, and to specify a process design.
