ABSTRACT

In designing the enterprise, the human component is often the most important to the success of the enterprise, yet in many projects, especially projects with significant amounts of technology the organizational view is under-served. Frequently, the organizational design is treated indirectly as users of the information systems or resources within the process. These views treat people as if they are equivalent to mechanical resources [4, 23], which disregards the significant body of knowledge on the design of organizations.
