ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we –rst consider the system aspects of oil-–red furnaces and boilers. Following this, combustion of sprays is discussed and a simple plug ¢ow model of droplet combustion is developed. Finally, emissions from oil-–red furnaces and boilers are examined.
