Quality control is checking that the material or process in use is correct. Quality assurance is providing the confidence that the quality function is being adequately performed.
Polyurethanes must not only meet the specification set by the purchaser but also be suitable for the application. A very important criterion is the polyurethane processor’s own database of successful applications. Applications of similar nature can often be used to provide a basis for correct material selection.
