ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we discuss the sampling variation of statistics, introduce con•dence intervals as measures of the accuracy of statistics, demonstrate the computation of con•dence intervals on the mean and variance, calculate the size of samples needed to estimate a mean with a stated level of accuracy, and discuss the fundamentals of quality control.
