ABSTRACT
The majority of contemporary medium and large-sized organizations have established and maintain a formal safety and health program. These programs are established: 1) in response to legal directive: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), 2) in response to complying with state of the art circumstances within their industry, and 3) in response to ethical and philosophical inclinations on the part of management.
