ABSTRACT

In this chapter we shall look at some representative cases of indoor and outdoor lighting. It is impossible to cover every single space or room someone would want to illuminate, so a selection was made of the most common ones hoping that the principles by which the light source selections are made will act as a guide to the reader for any situation. Že focus is mainly on color temperatures and color-rendering options; the levels of illumination should be decided by the designer based on existing standards and various parameters such as availability of natural light, age of people occupying the spaces, nature of tasks performed, room area and ceiling height, etc.
