The tetragonal di iodide mercuric HgI2 is crystallized in the lattice with symmetry 15 4hD –P42/nmc [1]. It is known as the most perspective material for the fabricating
high-resolution x-ray and γ-ray detectors [2, 3]. But his electronic structure and optical properties are investigated relatively small [4-7].
