ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION Over the past decade, there has been increasing research and development in the field of laser, light, radiofrequency, and other similar technologies to treat conditions related to the skin and aging. This chapter will discuss some of the most prominent non-laser modalities including intense pulsed light (IPL), radiofrequency, combined radiofrequency and optical energy sources, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and plasmakinetic skin resurfacing.
