ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the term reversal techniques is used to cover a wide range of selfcalibration techniques that are used or could be used on coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). These are a subset of a wider set of self-calibration techniques described in the literature. A good review of the subject, which was used extensively in this chapter, can be found in the study by Evans, Hocken, and Estler (1996) and the references therein.
