2.1 Introduction The MicroDairy concept conceived by Superior Dairy coupled with Creative Edge Technologies located in Canton, Ohio, is the result of a desire to gain operational, production, and logistical efficiencies in the dairy industry. The coupling of a redesign of the traditional milk jug, an innovative production scheduling model, and a supervisory control system led to optimal control of the dairy manufacturing process.
