ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the practical recommendations for management of an international network, determines the areas for future research, and explores the total research project. Analysis of the cases suggests a series of practical recommendations that can help managers of an international network. The government should in particular enact regulation that has a strong relationship with cost-effective management, thus having the highest impact in improving the attractiveness of the country so international organizations will buy services in the country, situate hubs, and potentially situate headquarters when the organization is strongly dependent on communications. Further research on international networks is highly recommended as a future step, as the subject is of fast growing importance and very little research has as yet appeared in literature. The chapter also presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book.
