ABSTRACT
One purpose of test is to verify that the product or service meets all requirements at the lowest cost. The goal is to minimize testing since it is a nonvalue added task. Testability is the process of designing a product so that it can be tested more efficiently and effectively. It also includes self-diagnostics and self-maintenance. The process is to identify the points or items to test and making the test process as effective and efficient as possible. Key design parameters for testability are accessibility, controllability, observability, and compatibility.
