ABSTRACT

Although it usually provides an esthetical result, we never associate a perineorrhaphy, since we find that it is not physiological and even a cause for postoperative dyspareunia. Furthermore, the esthetical result of any correction of vulvar malformations, obtained in a patient positioned in a forced gynaecological position, seems doubtful, since the corrections are performed in a position that is far from natural. What is more, it is not based on any scientific data, while the morbidity resulting from this procedure has been well described.
