ABSTRACT

Bleeding of the vaginal section is the first and last demonstration of haemorrhage during the course of the procedure. Even though it is disturbing and not very aesthetic it does not represent any danger and ceases with the vaginal suture. A haemostatic infiltration performed prior to the incision can prevent such bleeding during the incision stage; however, a study carried out years back indicated that such an infiltration reduces the vaginal wall’s anti-infectious defences.
