ABSTRACT

These protocols must also be implemented with reasonable complexity to provide the real-time response to the highly dynamic environments, and moreover, be able to support multimedia applications. In general, the following design goals should be achieved: (1) Short delay: the network system needs to minimize latency as much as possible when delivering the video frames. (2) High throughput: to support these concurrent accesses, the network system needs to sustain high throughput. (3) High reliability: the network should not fail easily because of the sustained high throughput.
