Reason 2: You will be spread too thin. To secure everything, you will need to start multiple streams of security initiatives. Each initiative draws from the same limited resources. Unless you have access to an unlimited talent pool that can complete initiatives in short order, you will find your information security program buried under a slew of unfinished projects that do very little to enhance your security posture or your image as an effective organization.
