ABSTRACT

The business (or enterprise) market space targets a different type of market segments from the consumer space. Whereas the typical consumer customer is more interested in convenience, social interaction, or simplifying one’s lifestyle, the typical business customer is more focused on productivity. By definition, business-focused services tend to be more specialized than consumer services with a naturally smaller segment willing to purchase those services. Businesses are looking for applications that meet their specific business needs. Thus, IMS with its inherent tie-in to a rapid service delivery framework is a natural fit to create the niche services required by the business market segment in a rapid and economical manner.
