ABSTRACT
The years that followed the first edition of this book were a time of rapid expansion of membrane reactor investigations. Hundreds of articles and patents on this subject appear in numerous international journals every year (e.g., see [1-6]). Many international conferences and symposia on membrane catalysis take place every year and some of the works presented at these are close to commercial application.
