Since the publication of the first edition of this book, many more articles have appeared in the open literature describing the preparation and application of monolithic catalysts [1-11 and references therein]. Therefore, it was decided to update the text. In this chapter methods and techniques used in preparation of monolithic catalysts are described. It is shown
that conventional preparation methods can be successfully applied, though more special precautions are advisable.
