ABSTRACT
The importance and utility of using chromated copper arsenate (CCA)-treated wood has been discussed in previous chapters. The use of CCA-treated wood products (poles, fences and decks) invariably leads to the release of the constituent elements arsenic (As), chromium (Cr) and copper (Cu) and their compounds into neighboring soils.
