ABSTRACT
There has been a sustained interest during the past three decades on the effects of comorbidity on cancer treatment in older populations (1-4). This interest is reflected in a growing number of research papers on the topic, the selection of comorbidity as a plenary topic at scientific and professional meetings, and the convening of scientific working groups to establish research and practice agendas in the area.
