There are three different methods to perform CPA. They were all developed for different purposes. All three methods will arrive at the same endpoint date but will have different intermediate dates.

Dates versus Absolute Days When we speak of “dates,” we are really referring to absolute periods. When performing CPA, we are dealing with whole numbers (1, 23, 51, etc,) representing your minimum period of lapse time — most frequently “days.”
