ABSTRACT
The complexity of today’s healthcare enterprises seems to grow exponentially, requiring new tools and new solutions to very complicated issues. The issues involve large databases that must coordinate active and inactive patient members, physician databases, benefits and eligibility databases, plus huge databases for pharmacy and laboratory, including inventory and tests performed. Size of the databases is certainly an issue, but at least as important is the ability to keep data current and in sync with other related databases.
