ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the forces governing the ever-changing competitive landscape in this new economy and identifies several survival factors in both the business-to-consumer (B2C) and the business-to-business (B2B) sectors. The first section previews the competitive landscape and discusses some of the hurdles and challenges facing these companies. The subseqent sections outline survival factors in the B2C and the B2B space. The chapter ends with conclusions and directions for future research.
