ABSTRACT
Nothing in this chapter should be interpreted as a condemnation of clini-
cians or clinical practice. I have unlimited respect for clinicians who I believe do a remarkably good job under trying circumstances. My focus
in the following comments is on methods that could enhance the perfor-
mance of clinicians and clinical investigators.
