ABSTRACT

Once the company has issued a request for proposal (RFP) and received the responses, the next step is to evaluate those responses, selecting the vendor and product that most closely meet the company’s requirements. This evaluation comprises Steps 4 and 5 of the overall selection process, steps that lead directly to contract negotiation. As is true of most processes, product and vendor evaluation can be divided into a series of smaller steps. These are shown in graphical format in Chapter 3, Exhibit 3-2.
