ABSTRACT

Most of the architecture views in these frameworks introduce relationships between the elements, activities, functions, or attributes of a system or family of systems. As such, the views lend themselves to the logical concept of “model” that was discussed in detail in Chapter 5 (“Architecture Modeling Languages”). Some of the views also introduce transformations between the parameters used in the architectural descriptions, but do not address the preservation of relationships under the given parametric transform. As such, these views cannot be considered model transforms.
