ABSTRACT

It is attractive to speculate that important obesity genes express in the tissue that is most affected by obesity, namely the adipose tissue. Adipose tissue contains the largest store of energy in the body and plays important roles in regulating energy homeostasis. A number of adipocyte-specific events could be subjected to genetic modification causing obesity (Fig. 1):
