ABSTRACT

This approach consists of applying the basic protocols for hormone receptor analysis on sections of target organs instead of aliquots of tissue homogenates. Such transposition enables functional receptor characterization with much higher anatomical resolution than classical approaches using homogenates. It relies on the abilities to: • Measure radioactive contents of labeled sec-

tions through the optical densities of autoradiographic images

• Make tissue sections that can be assimilated to a series of identical homogenate samples
