Autoradiography is the detection of radioactive molecules within a tissue by:
• Affixing onto a photographic emulsion • Forming a latent image through exposure in
the dark • Developing of the image as silver grains

Autoradiography relies on the property of light-sensitive photographic emulsions (silver halogenates) to be activated by radiation from radioactive molecules.
