). Nearly all other heteropterans leave vertebrates alone, and no other heteropteran attacks people — except adventitiously. This chapter considers the many accounts of attacks on humans by bugs that feed on other organisms. These attacks cause no real harm, but they are at best annoying and at worst important nuisances.
