It is important to know that the Phytis Diamond stent in contrast to bare stainless steel stents is suitable for allergic patients, even if they are allergic to heavy metal ions.

Why I like my stent The unique qualities of the Phytis Diamond Like Carbon coated stents are the result of a development process that did not start from the technical side, but with biological considerations. From the early beginning of the research and development process the stent was designed to prevent restenosis. From the moment the first study results were published it was clear, that the concept, to minimize restenosis by an inert, protecting and thrombo-resistent extremely smooth and durable coating, was correct.
