ABSTRACT
Almost all MEMS devices will eventually need to be interfaced to a control system, and this will invariably be some form of electronic control system. In the laboratory, a PC with an appropriate interface card can be employed, but this will still require some additional interfacing circuitry between the card and the MEMS device. In a finished product, it is quite possible that a microcontroller will be employed, which will also require signal-conditioning circuits.
