ABSTRACT
A Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) device enables both fixed services and a “portable” services market with vast potential and room for growth years before the advent of standardized “mobile” services. InfiNet Wireless selected the picoChip software upgradeable WiMAX solution for 802.16d and 802.16e WiMAX system designs. WiMAX Mini-PCI reference design opens the way to low-cost and small form-factor WiMAX customer premise equipment, driving fast deployment of WiMAX solutions. Nokia has announced that its networks business group has completed a data call as part of its WiMAX development program. Network and element management enables true carrier-class WiMAX deployments and seamless integration with the core network. Flextronics Software Systems, an end-to-end communication solutions provider based in India, has launched Sig ASN, a signaling framework for developing the WiMAX Forum-defined ASN gateway. Azonic Systems announced the availability of its WiMAX-compliant MAXGear family of products.
