ABSTRACT

Milacron purchased the Rainville machine in the 1990s and it is now marketed as Milacron Uniloy out of Manchester, Michigan. They offer various sizes of machines ranging from thirty-five ton up to one hundred eighty ton. They all are three station machines and have a horizontal recriposcrew as the injection unit. Both the clamps and the injection unit use hydraulics. They recently built an injection blow molding machine in Italy that offers an electric drive for the injection unit and hydraulics for the clamp.
