ABSTRACT
As part of its quality system, a laboratory is required to operate a documented program for the maintenance, calibration, and performance verification of its equipment.

6.1.1. Maintenance of essential equipment shall be carried out at specified intervals as determined by factors such as the rate of use. Detailed records
shall be kept. Examples of maintenance of equipment and intervals are given in Appendix F.
