ABSTRACT
Public water systems serving at least 25 persons or having at least 15 service connections must comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the requirements of the National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (NPDWR) (40 CFR 141). Section 1401(l) (D) of the act defines a National Primary Drinking Water Regulation to include ‘‘criteria and procedures . . . [for] quality control and testing procedures to insure compliance . . . ’’ 40 CFR 142 sets implementation requirements.
