I. Introduction

Chronic rhinosinusitis in children is a hotly debated topic (1). Since the natural

history is only partly known, it is difficult to evaluate treatments which range

from complete nonintervention through medical therapy to sinus surgery,

which these days is likely to be endoscopic. A recent consensus report has

encouraged the definition of pediatric rhinosinusitis on clinical grounds,

without the necessity of a computed tomography (CT) scan (1).
