ABSTRACT
Engineering steel chain drives are very economical and efficient. Their design permits them to tolerate more exposure to dirt, moisture, and foreign debris than roller chains. Engineering steel chain drives are widely used in exposed drives on construction and mining equipment and on the drives for large conveyors in many industries. Figure 6-1 and Figure 6-2 show typical engineering steel chain drives.
